Abstract

In the presented article, the evolution of Urdu essay writing has been reviewed. After the meaning and understanding of the essay, this genre has been discussed as a Literary genre and its different periods have been presented in chronological order. The trends that have developed over time in Urdu essay writing are described in this article. In addition to the themes, the introduction of the representative literature of each period is presented with explanations regarding their representative subjects. From the evolutionary review of essay writing, it is clear that all trends of Urdu Language Literature have been presented through this genre.
